The Why Behind the What

Being busy doesn’t do us any good if we’re not being intentional about the things we’re doing. And being intentional only works when we have something worthy to be intentional about.

Policies, procedures, methods, and modes only get us to where we want to be if we have a strong why baked into them.

If we’re not evaluating every move by whether or not it enables us to fulfill our why, we shouldn’t be surprised when we start to focus on the short-term manipulators (money, security, benefits) instead of the things that make us more like the hero in the story we want to tell about ourselves.
